๐Ÿ“– Supplier Compare Guide

Why unit price alone lies

Is tax-inclusive ยฅ48 cheaper than tax-exclusive ยฅ45? It depends on VAT handling, MOQ inflation and defect reserves. This tool normalizes every quote to "cash cost per good unit": actual purchase quantity = max(ceil(good units รท (1 โˆ’ defect rate)), MOQ), then VAT is added or split, then fixed fees and freight are ranked.

MOQ and defect rates silently inflate purchase volumes: needing 1,000 good units at a 2.5% defect rate means buying 1,026 โ€” and a 1,500 MOQ forces 47% excess inventory, often flipping which supplier is truly cheaper.

โ“ FAQ

How do you compare tax bases fairly?

Exclusive prices are grossed up by VAT for the cash ranking; the net-of-tax and input-VAT split is shown per supplier.

Why rank by cash total?

It reflects real capital occupation; prepayment splits help you weigh cash-flow pressure too.
