๐ Packaging Guide
How one carton dimension can cut freight
For light goods, box size drives freight โ but tighter boxes mean more cartons and higher packaging cost, so an optimum exists. The tool runs 2โ4 plans in parallel over the same shipment: box counts, tail slack, volumetric weight, packaging and freight cost, and unit economics, then ranks them.
Air uses chargeable = max(gross, volumetric) ร rate; LCL uses CBM. Remember: extreme dimensions optimized purely for freight can slow packing or damage goods.
โ FAQ
Why isnโt the tightest box always cheapest?
More boxes raise packaging cost and tail-carton waste; the ranking weighs freight + packaging together.
What does "by volumetric" mean?
Volumetric weight exceeds gross โ freight is billed on volume, the main lever for light cargo.
