When do you need CSV as a Markdown table?
Markdown tables are the lingua franca of technical platforms: GitHub READMEs and issues, Notion, Yuque, Feishu docs, and AI chats (paste pricing data for analysis) all render Markdown tables โ while pasting from Excel/CSV yields tab-separated mush. Converting quotes, test results and spec sheets to Markdown is the shortest path to moving data between teams and AI tools.
The tool runs entirely in your browser: paste CSV โ auto-detect the delimiter (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe, whichever leads the first line) โ toggle "first row as header" to emit the alignment row โ copy.
Handling messy CSVs
Standard CSV allows commas inside cells when wrapped in double quotes ("bracket, black") โ this parser reads quotes character by character per RFC 4180. Pipes inside cells are escaped to \| so the table structure survives, and blank lines are skipped.
Coming from Excel: select-all and copy usually yields tab-separated text โ pick the Tab delimiter. Chinese Excel often exports GBK-encoded CSV; if the paste shows mojibake, re-save as "CSV UTF-8" first.

How do I paste the output into Notion?
Paste into a Markdown code block, or paste plain text and use "Turn into table". Yuque and Feishu accept direct Markdown pastes with Ctrl+V.
What if row 1 is not a header?
Uncheck "First row as header" and every row is emitted as data. Or add a column-name row above your data and convert again.
